Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer a competition this year. If you would like to help to make the dream a reality, contact Richard. Here’s the concept:

Honoring Cinematic Arts and Preserving the Environment:
A Film Festival with a Purpose.

The Central Pennsylvania is in the midst of an economic revival and Billtown Film Festival’s ScreenGreen™ Competition seeks to encourage sensible development of our state’s resources through the use of film and video presentations.

Here’s the concept: The Billtown Film Festival of Williamsport, Pennsylvania will offer ScreenGreen™ Awards to filmmakers in several categories. The Awards for best feature, documentary, short and young filmmaker will be based on the quality of production, creativity and innovation and clarity of message.

The message must refer to issues of Environmental Preservation and Natural Resource Conservation. The film or video can be documentary or narrative. It is hoped that entrants will offer more than just the awareness of problems but also innovative solutions.

All opinions regarding the harvesting, distribution and use of natural resources for the purpose of energy production, food production and efficient land management are welcomed. Tell your story in film or video.
